After the colon in an f-string you can give a width, and the value is padded with spaces to fill it. < lines it up on the left, > on the right, and ^ in the centre. Numbers line up on the right by default, text on the left:

for name, price in [("Tea", 1.8), ("Sandwich", 4.25), ("Cake", 3)]:
    print(f"{name:<10}{price:>6.2f}")

The format comes in parts: >6.2f means right-aligned, 6 characters wide, 2 decimal places, as a float.

Format	Example	Result
`{x:<8}`	`"ab"`	`ab`
`{x:>8}`	`"ab"`	`ab`
`{x:^8}`	`"ab"`	`ab`
`{x:*^8}`	`"ab"`	`*ab*`
`{n:05}`	`42`	`00042`
`{n:,}`	`1234567`	`1,234,567`
`{f:>8.1f}`	`3.14159`	`3.1`

A character before the alignment sign is used for padding instead of spaces, as in *^8.
