Privacy

This page explains what happens to your details when you use this site. mithian is the data controller for anything you send through it.

When you fill in the contact form I collect your name, your email address, and whatever you choose to put in the message. It is used for exactly one thing: replying to you and, if we end up working together, doing the work. It is not sold, shared or added to any mailing list.

The live demos give each visitor a private sandbox: what you type into them is not shown to other visitors, and your copy is deleted automatically after a couple of hours of inactivity. They are demonstrations rather than real services, so please don't enter real personal information in them.

This site sets no tracking cookies. A cookie is only set when signing in to the admin area, which is just me. Visit counts are measured on this site's own server without storing anything that identifies you. Fonts load from Google Fonts, which means Google sees the network address you connect from, nothing more.

When the site is advertised on Google, a Google measurement script runs with all consent switched off by default: it sets no cookies, does not profile you, and sends Google only an anonymous signal used to estimate how many ad clicks led to an enquiry. That is the whole of it, which is why this site has no cookie banner.

You can ask at any time what I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted: email business@mithian.net. If you are unhappy with how your details were handled you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
